What we move (and what to expect)
When you choose our Free Data Transfer option, we copy the parts of your system that make it feel familiar:
- Documents, photos, videos and personal files
- Most installed programs and their settings (where possible)
- User accounts, desktop layout and common personalization settings
- Browser bookmarks, saved passwords (when possible), and local app data
We aim to make the new PC turn on and look EXACTLY like your old one — same files, same desktop, same basic workflows. In most cases your programs will open and behave as they did before. For software that requires reactivation (some paid apps, certain Adobe or Microsoft licenses, etc.), we’ll let you know and walk you through any required logins or keys.
How it works — simple and fast
- At checkout, select the Free Data Transfer option for your new PC.
- We perform the transfer in-house. The whole process takes two hours max in most cases, so your wait is short.
- Forgot to add the option? No problem — contact us or leave a note with your order and we’ll apply it. This service applies to every PC we sell, including prebuilt brands (Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo, etc.).
- Once the transfer is complete we test the system and hand it over ready to use.
We handle the details so you don’t have to. Your new machine will boot up and behave like your old one — only faster, quieter, and more reliable.
Optional full setup service — $50 (new PCs only)
If you’d rather completely skip the setup headaches, we offer a paid Full Setup service for $50 on new PCs only. This covers:
- Installing Windows updates and cumulative patches
- Downloading and installing the latest drivers (graphics, chipset, network, etc.)
- Installing essential system utilities and configuring privacy/security settings
- Final testing and performance verification
Important: This is not the same as the free data transfer. Setting up Windows and drivers can be time-consuming and occasionally requires account info. In some cases Windows 11 will require a Microsoft account or email sign-in during setup; if that’s needed we’ll guide you through it to make it painless.
